CrossFit Games 2021 will be taking place in a few weeks and many CrossFit Games participants are very excited. There will be women's competitions in addition to the regular men's and women's competitions. We all know about the Reebok's equipment, Pegboard contest, cutting system, and women's event. Competition for women

The women's competition at the 2021 Crossfit Games began this morning with the swim event. Jonne Koski and Tia-Clair Toomey Orr won the first event. Koski won the overall competition after maintaining her lead all the way. Tall and Eramoo O'Connell came in second and third, respectively. It was the first Games for women, and the women's side hoped to complete the podium.

The women's competition is filled with top-level athletes. The field features nine athletes, including a 19 year-old Australian powerhouse who won this competition last year. Kara Saunders from Australia, who placed second in Australia and 11th globally in 2020 are other contenders. Andrea Nisler, a rising star who competed for the team division in 2018, finished third in America and fifteenth overall in 2020. The Women's competition will feature these athletes as well as Sara Sigmundsdottir (an Icelandan competitor who won the first place medal at World Crossfit Games earlier last year).

Pegboard contest

The Pegboard contest at the Crossfit Games 2021 was a first. Along with dumbbell overhead squats and double-unders, it was included in the Games' summer Olympic programme. With 30 wins, Toomey-Orr holds the record for the most Games events won. Sager won Event 11 for the men and took home his third Games victory. There were many ties throughout the contest, but ToomeyOrr was the dominant force that won the contest.

CrossFit Games are a competition where athletes focus on ten skills that improve their physical fitness: speed, agility, cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility. This year's CrossFit Games field includes 236 athletes. It is the largest ever. Major cuts occur in the first six events. The field is reduced to 75 athletes. The top thirty athletes then compete in a sprint team to determine the top 10. The top 20 athletes will then compete in the six remaining events. Castro's system has been criticized by veterans Games athletes who feel that the cuts are too significant.

Reebok's equipment

Reebok has released new CrossFit Games shoes, clothing and equipment. The Nano X1 are the new shoes. They are made to meet multiple fitness needs. Reebok calls the shoe "the shoe of health," but it is more like a traditional trainer shoe. The shoe's upper is made from DuPont's Kevlar material, which promotes durability and breathability. The shoes are responsive thanks to the firm midsole and RopePro technology.
